Shawn the Chart Guy here…It was reported by the Associated Press today that infamous gangsta rap label Death Row, founded by Dr. Dre and Marion “Suge” Knight in 1991, was sold to New York-based Global Music Group Inc. for a paltry $24 million.  Years of mismanagement forced Knight to claim bankruptcy…especially after he was forced to pay a $107 million judgment to former couple Lydia and Michael Harris (Michael, by the way, is a convicted drug dealer who put up $1.5 million for start-up costs in return for a 50% stake of the label.)
