Melissa Lawson, a 32-year-old mother of five, was crowned the winner of NBC’s “Nashville Star 6“ last night.  This was the first season the show aired on NBC, after the first five seasons aired on the USA Network.  I really hope that she becomes a huge country superstar, but ironically, the show has produced less country superstars than the show it imitates…FOX’s “American Idol.”  Carmen Rasmusen, Phil Stacey, Bucky Covington, Josh Gracin, Kellie Pickler, and of course, Carrie Underwood, have found various degrees of success by being on “Idol,” but the life of a “Star” winner has been a tough one.
